Sample Syllabus

When writing the syllabus for a new course, I make sure I provide all necessary information, communicate expectations clearly, and offer information about all relevant additional resources, especially writing centers. I also try to add a bit of specificity, and whimsy, to traditional course names. For example, instead of British Literature I, I called my course “From Beowulf to Beheading: Kingly Power, Perception, and Poetry.” The syllabus for that course is available below.
